Die Videoarbeit thematisiert eine monologisch an Che Guevara gerichtete Auseinandersetzung einer Alt 68erin mit der Ikone ihrer Jugend. Ambivalent werden seine Rolle für die Jugend damals, seine politischen Thesen, die Rolle von Gewalt als politisches Mittel, die Rolle der Verehrung als Idol, die späte kommerzielle Wiederverwertung als profaner Konsumartikel etc. angesprochen.
In a monologue, addressed to Che Guevara, a former ’68 activist talks about the role as idol that Che played in her youth. In an ambivalent manner she discusses his role as; a political idol, a rebel for the youth of the late 60s and 70s, his political convictions, the justification of violence for achieving political goals, the adoration and worshipping of an idol, the identification model and his later commercial presence as a profane consumer item.
